Course Description: This course focuses on study of more than 100 essential sutras, from Vedānta sūtras of Śrīla Vyāsadeva. These are the sutras quoted by Śrīla Prabhupāda and predecessor Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava ācāryas, in the various commentaries to Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and Bhagavad Gītā, as well as in six Sandarbhas of Śrīla Jīva Goswāmī.

Course Contents: The sūtras will be explained on the basis of Govinda Bhāṣya commentary by Śrīla Baladeva Vidyābhūṣaṇa. The explanations will be in English with references to the original Sanskrit sūtra and Govinda Bhāṣya text. Concepts from sandarbhas and bhāgavatam commentaries will also be included in the explanations.

The style of presentation will be based upon the standard explanation of five angas in an adhikaraṇa or a topic: Viṣaya, saṁśaya, pūrva paksa, siddhānta and prayojana.
